Parametrization and geometric analysis of coordination controllers for multi-agent systems

Xiaoli Wang, Yiguang Hong (2009)

Kybernetika

In this paper, we address distributed control structures for multi-agent systems with linear controlled agent dynamics. We consider the parametrization and related geometric structures of the coordination controllers for multi-agent systems with fixed topologies. Necessary and sufficient conditions to characterize stabilizing consensus controllers are obtained. Then we consider the consensus for the multi-agent systems with switching interaction topologies based on control parametrization.

Parametrization and reliable extraction of proper compensators

Ferdinand Kraffer, Petr Zagalak (2002)

Kybernetika

The polynomial matrix equation X l D r + Y l N r = D k is solved for those X l and Y l that give proper transfer functions X l - 1 Y l characterizing a subclass of compensators, contained in the class whose arbitrary element can be cascaded to a plant with the given strictly...

Partial disturbance decoupling problem for structured transfer matrix systems by measurement feedback

Ulviye Başer (1999)

Kybernetika

Partial disturbance decoupling problems are equivalent to zeroing the first, say k Markov parameters of the closed-loop system between the disturbance and controlled output. One might consider this problem when it is not possible to zero all the Markov parameters which is known as exact disturbance decoupling. Structured transfer matrix systems are linear systems given by transfer matrices of which the infinite zero order of each nonzero entry is known, while the associated infinite gains are unknown...

Partial exact controllability and exponential stability in higher-dimensional linear thermoelasticity

Weijiu Liu (2010)

ESAIM: Control, Optimisation and Calculus of Variations

The problem of partial exact boundary controllability and exponential stability for the higher-dimensional linear system of thermoelasticity is considered. By introducing a velocity feedback on part of the boundary of the thermoelastic body, which is clamped along the rest of its boundary, to increase the loss of energy, we prove that the energy in the system of thermoelasticity decays to zero exponentially. We also give a positive answer to a related open question raised by Alabau and Komornik...

Partial exact controllability of a nonlinear system.

A. K. Nandakumaran, R. K. George (1995)

Revista Matemática de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid

In this article, we prove the partial exact controllability of a nonlinear system. We use semigroup formulation together with fixed point approach to study the nonlinear system.

Patterns and Waves Generated by a Subcritical Instability in Systems with a Conservation Law under the Action of a Global Feedback Control

Y. Kanevsky, A.A. Nepomnyashchy (2010)

Mathematical Modelling of Natural Phenomena

A global feedback control of a system that exhibits a subcritical monotonic instability at a non-zero wavenumber (short-wave, or Turing instability) in the presence of a zero mode is investigated using a Ginzburg-Landau equation coupled to an equation for the zero mode. The method based on a variational principle is applied for the derivation of a low-dimensional evolution model. In the framework of this model the investigation of the system’s dynamics...

Performance evaluation based fault tolerant control with actuator saturation avoidance

Boumedyen Boussaid, Christophe Aubrun, Mohamed Naceur Abdelkrim, Mohamed Koni Ben Gayed (2011)

International Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science

In this paper, a new approach regarding a reconfigured system is proposed to improve the performance of an active fault tolerant control system. The system performance is evaluated with an intelligent index of performance. The reconfiguration mechanism is based on a model predictive controller and reference trajectory management techniques. When an actuator fault occurs in the system, a new degraded reference trajectory is generated and the controller calculates new admissible controls. A constraint...

Periodic systems largely system equivalent to periodic discrete-time processes

Osvaldo Maria Grasselli, Sauro Longhi, Antonio Tornambè (2001)

Kybernetika

In this paper, the problem of obtaining a periodic model in state-space form of a linear process that can be modeled by linear difference equations with periodic coefficients is considered. Such a problem was already studied and solved in [r71] on the basis of the notion of system equivalence, but under the assumption that the process has no null characteristic multiplier. In this paper such an assumption is removed in order to generalize the results in [r71] to linear periodic processes with possibly...
