Traces on the cone algebra with asymptotics
Some results concerning triangularization of some operators on locally convex spaces are established.
Suppose is a separable unital -algebra each fibre of which is isomorphic to the same strongly self-absorbing and -injective -algebra . We show that and are isomorphic as -algebras provided the compact Hausdorff space is finite-dimensional. This statement is known not to extend to the infinite-dimensional case.
Orthomodular spaces are the counterpart of Hilbert spaces for fields other than or . Both share numerous properties, foremost among them is the validity of the Projection theorem. Nevertheless in the study of bounded linear operators which started in [3], there appeared striking differences with the classical theory. In fact, in this paper we shall construct, on the canonical non-archimedean orthomodular space of [5], two infinite families of self-adjoint bounded linear operators having no...
We consider two operator space versions of type and cotype, namely -type, -cotype and type (p,H), cotype (q,H) for a homogeneous Hilbertian operator space H and 1 ≤ p ≤ 2 ≤ q ≤ ∞, generalizing “OH-cotype 2” of G. Pisier. We compute type and cotype of some Hilbertian operator spaces and spaces, and we investigate the relationship between a homogeneous Hilbertian space H and operator spaces with cotype (2,H). As applications we consider operator space versions of generalized little Grothendieck’s...
We suggest a method of renorming of spaces of operators which are suitably approximable by sequences of operators from a given class. Further we generalize J. Johnsons’s construction of ideals of compact operators in the space of bounded operators and observe e.g. that under our renormings compact operators are -ideals in the: space of 2-absolutely summing operators or in the space of operators factorable through a Hilbert space.
The existence of unbounded *-representations of (locally convex) tensor product *-algebras is investigated, in terms of the existence of unbounded *-representations of the (locally convex) factors of the tensor product and vice versa.
Let be a Banach space. We give characterizations of when is a -ideal in for every Banach space in terms of nets of finite rank operators approximating weakly compact operators. Similar characterizations are given for the cases when is a -ideal in for every Banach space , when is a -ideal in for every Banach space , and when is a -ideal in for every Banach space .
