Invariant harmonic unit vector fields on Lie groups

We provide a new characterization of invariant harmonic unit vector fields on Lie groups endowed with a left-invariant metric. We use it to derive existence results and to construct new examples on Lie groups equipped with a bi-invariant metric, on three-dimensional Lie groups, on generalized Heisenberg groups, on Damek-Ricci spaces and on particular semi-direct products. Invariant harmonic unit vector fields on the oscillator groups

We find all the left-invariant harmonic unit vector fields on the oscillator groups. Besides, we determine the associated harmonic maps from the oscillator group into its unit tangent bundle equipped with the associated Sasaki metric. Moreover, we investigate the stability and instability of harmonic unit vector fields on compact quotients of four dimensional oscillator group G 1 ( 1 ) .

Invariant subspaces in higher order jet prolongations of a fibred manifold

We present a generalization of the concept of semiholonomic jets within the framework of higher order prolongations of a fibred manifold. In this respect, a compilation of our 2-fibred manifold approach with the methods of natural operators theory is used.
