Asymptotic purity for very general hypersurfaces of ℙn × ℙn of bidegree (k, k)

Michael Burr (2012)

Open Mathematics

For a complex irreducible projective variety, the volume function and the higher asymptotic cohomological functions have proven to be useful in understanding the positivity of divisors as well as other geometric properties of the variety. In this paper, we study the vanishing properties of these functions on hypersurfaces of ℙn × ℙn. In particular, we show that very general hypersurfaces of bidegree (k, k) obey a very strong vanishing property, which we define as asymptotic purity: at most one asymptotic...

Attracting divisors on projective algebraic varieties

Małgorzata Stawiska (2007)

Annales Polonici Mathematici

We obtain sufficient and necessary conditions (in terms of positive singular metrics on an associated line bundle) for a positive divisor D on a projective algebraic variety X to be attracting for a holomorphic map f:X → X.

B dR -représentations dans le cas relatif

Fabrizio Andreatta, Olivier Brinon (2010)

Bases of homology spaces of the Hilbert scheme of points in an algebraic surface.

C. Hermoso, I. Sols (1996)

Revista Matemática de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid

We find two basis of the spaces of rational homology of the Hilbert scheme of points in an algebraic surface, by exhibiting two candidates having as cardinalities the known Betti numbers of this scheme and showing that both intersect in a matrix of nonzero determinant.
