Existence of solutions for some quasilinear p ( x ) -elliptic problem with Hardy potential

Elhoussine Azroul, Mohammed Bouziani, Hassane Hjiaj, Ahmed Youssfi (2019)

Mathematica Bohemica

We consider the anisotropic quasilinear elliptic Dirichlet problem - i = 1 N D i a i ( x , u , u ) + | u | s ( x ) - 1 u = f + λ | u | p 0 ( x ) - 2 u | x | p 0 ( x ) in Ω , u = 0 on Ω , where Ω is an open bounded subset of N containing the origin. We show the existence of entropy solution for this equation where the data f is assumed to be in L 1 ( Ω ) and λ is a positive constant.

Existence of three solutions to a double eigenvalue problem for the p-biharmonic equation

Lin Li, Shapour Heidarkhani (2012)

Annales Polonici Mathematici

Using a three critical points theorem and variational methods, we study the existence of at least three weak solutions of the Navier problem ⎧ Δ ( | Δ u | p 2 Δ u ) d i v ( | u | p 2 u ) = λ f ( x , u ) + μ g ( x , u ) in Ω, ⎨ ⎩u = Δu = 0 on ∂Ω, where Ω N (N ≥ 1) is a non-empty bounded open set with a sufficiently smooth boundary ∂Ω, λ > 0, μ > 0 and f,g: Ω × ℝ → ℝ are two L¹-Carathéodory functions.

Gradient potential estimates

Giuseppe Mingione (2011)

Journal of the European Mathematical Society

Pointwise gradient bounds via Riesz potentials like those available for the Poisson equation actually hold for general quasilinear equations.

Indefinite Quasilinear Neumann Problem on Unbounded Domains

J. Chabrowski (2006)

Bulletin of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Mathematics

We investigate the solvability of the quasilinear Neumann problem (1.1) with sub- and supercritical exponents in an unbounded domain Ω. Under some integrability conditions on the coefficients we establish embedding theorems of weighted Sobolev spaces into weighted Lebesgue spaces. This is used to obtain solutions through a global minimization of a variational functional.

Integrability for solutions to quasilinear elliptic systems

Francesco Leonetti, Pier Vincenzo Petricca (2010)

Commentationes Mathematicae Universitatis Carolinae

In this paper we prove an estimate for the measure of superlevel sets of weak solutions to quasilinear elliptic systems in divergence form. In some special cases, such an estimate allows us to improve on the integrability of the solution.

Non-existence result for quasi-linear elliptic equations with supercritical growth

Zuo Dong Yang, Junli Yuan (2007)

Commentationes Mathematicae Universitatis Carolinae

We obtain a non-existence result for a class of quasi-linear eigenvalue problems when a parameter is small. By using Pohozaev identity and some comparison arguments, non-existence theorems are established for quasi-linear eigenvalue problems under supercritical growth condition.

On the continuity of degenerate n-harmonic functions

Flavia Giannetti, Antonia Passarelli di Napoli (2012)

ESAIM: Control, Optimisation and Calculus of Variations

We study the regularity of finite energy solutions to degenerate n-harmonic equations. The function K(x), which measures the degeneracy, is assumed to be subexponentially integrable, i.e. it verifies the condition exp(P(K)) ∈ Lloc1. The function P(t) is increasing on  [0,∞[  and satisfies the divergence condition 1 P ( t ) t 2 d t = . ∫ 1 ∞ P ( t ) t 2   d t = ∞ .
