Stabilité isopérimétrique
We study the stability of the geodesic flow as a critical point for the energy functional when the base space is a compact orientable quotient of a two-point homogeneous space.
We study the stable norm on the first homology of a closed non-orientable surface equipped with a Riemannian metric. We prove that in every conformal class there exists a metric whose stable norm is polyhedral. Furthermore the stable norm is never strictly convex if the first Betti number of the surface is greater than two.
The realization of tractor bundles as associated bundles in conformal geometry is studied. It is shown that different natural choices of principal bundle with normal Cartan connection corresponding to a given conformal manifold can give rise to topologically distinct associated tractor bundles for the same inducing representation. In this paper, local, global, strongly local and strongly global supportings of subsets in a complete simply connected smooth Riemannian manifold without focal points are defined. Sufficient conditions for convexity of subsets in the same sort of manifolds have been derived in terms of the above mentioned types of supportings.
Dans cet article, on passe en revue certains résultats dus à Miles Simon sur le flot de Ricci de certains espaces métriques de dimension 3 exposés dans [28] et [26].On commence par voir le lien entre théorèmes de rigidité et convergence des variétés sur un exemple dû à Berger et Durumeric.
