Existence globale pour les systèmes de Maxwell-Bloch
Summary: We give an introduction to the Skyrme model from a mathematical point of view. Hereby, we show that it is difficult to solve the field equation even by means of the classical ansatz, the so-called hedgehog ansatz. Our main result is an extended existence proof for solutions of the field equation in the hedgehog ansatz.
Existence, uniqueness and ergodicity of weak solutions to the equation of stochastic quantization in finite volume is obtained as a simple consequence of the Girsanov theorem.
In analogy with earlier work on the forward-backward case, we consider an explicit construction of the forward-forward double stochastic product integral with generator . The method of construction is to approximate the product integral by a discrete double product of second quantised rotations in different planes using the embedding of into L²(ℝ) ⊕ L²(ℝ) in which the standard orthonormal bases of and ℂⁿ are mapped to the orthonormal sets consisting of normalised indicator functions of...
We define and compare, by model-theoretical methods, some exponentiations over the quantum algebra . We discuss two cases, according to whether the parameter is a root of unity. We show that the universal enveloping algebra of embeds in a non-principal ultraproduct of , where varies over the primitive roots of unity.
In [4] it is proved that a measure on a finite coarse-grained space extends, as a signed measure, over the entire power algebra. In [7] this result is reproved and further improved. Both the articles [4] and [7] use the proof techniques of linear spaces (i.e. they use multiplication by real scalars). In this note we show that all the results cited above can be relatively easily obtained by the Horn-Tarski extension technique in a purely combinatorial manner. We also characterize the pure measures...
